Suggestions—Your Guidance into Compliance

In this Article, we will learn about suggestions. We will understand what suggestions are, where you can find them and how to customize your Suggestion preferences.

In Responsum, Suggestions are a way to ensure your full compliance with privacy. These suggestions to take specific actions are triggered by your inputs in the different modules, for example the Register of Processing Activities. They lay out the next steps that you should take and the assessments to be conducted.

Suggestions show in the “Lightbulb” icon at the top bar of Responsum inside a module. You can check if there are triggered suggestions for a specific item on the items itself in the application. By clicking on the “Lightbulb” icon, you will be able to see the suggestions for this specific item. From the Suggestions icon, there are several actions that you can perform:

• Ignore: to ignore the suggestion.
• Create item: to create the related item with pre-filled data.
• Plan as task: plan the suggestion as a task.

Suggestions Preferences

To access the Suggestions sub-module, click on the Lightening bolt icon at the top left next to your modules names. From there, you will be redirected to the Action Center. An overview of your newest suggestions will be displayed at the bottom right. You can access a full view of the Suggestions sub-module by clicking on “View All”.

By clicking on “Suggestion preferences” wrench icon at the top right, you will be able to customize your suggestions preferences for each of the following items:

• Processing activity - Legal Obligation
• Processing activity - LIA
• Processing activity - TIA
• DPIA recommendation
• Mitigation
• Perform an IM system assessment
• Periodic reviews

Through Suggestion preferences, you indicate if Responsum should notify you if a suggestion is made. You also indicate how you would like to be notified of the suggestion; as a suggestion, recommendation, or alert.
